Whether you are considering British School of Oxford (BSO) as a potential school for your child(ren) or settling in as a new parent, you may have several questions about BSO and how we do things. Here are a few quick answers to common questions we encounter from time to time.

Application key dates for BSO applicants are as follows:

*In UK only standard international academic year implemented August-June, In Pakistan BSO have two academic sessions in different cities Apr-Mar & Aug to Jun 2020-2021

For Pakistan Campuses
  • Application deadline: Jan 2020
  • Initial notification: 1st Week Of Feb 2020
  • Interview session: 2nd Week Of Feb 2020
  • Final notification: 3rd Week Of Feb 2020

For UK Campuses (Only Aug-Jun)
  • Application deadline: Jun 2019
  • Initial notification: 1st Week Of July 2019
  • Interview session: 2nd Week Of July 2019
  • Final notification: 3rd Of Week July 2019

Applicants may apply at any time. However, notification of admission decisions will depend on anticipated space availability and for grades in which availability is expected to be limited, decisions may not be announced until academic year start. Applications submitted after the deadline/recommended application period may be considered, but space availability is likely to be more problematic.

  • ECL (Pre School): 8:30am to 12:30pm
  • Primary School: 7.55am to 2.00pm
  • Middle School: 7.55am to 2.00pm
  • Early Child Learning (Pre School): Pre-Nursery & Nursery (2.5-4 years)
  • Primary School: Kindergarten to Grade 5 (4-11 years)
  • Middle School: Grade 6 to 8 (11-14 years)

British School of Oxford (BSO) is a member of International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, offering IB Primary Years Programme

As and when necessary.

The Guardianship Programme is only applicable for students whose parents are not residing in UK or Pakistan. More information can be found at:iss.edu.sg/guardianship
ESL (English as a Second Language) support is provided for students from Grade 1 to Grade 8. More information can be found at: iss.edu.sg/esl-support

Students can purchase / order their lunch from the school FRESH MEAL PROVIDER. There is a choice of an Asian, Western or sandwich set daily. Alternatively, students can bring their own packed lunch. There is a fridge in every classroom and students are welcome to use the fridge for food that requires refrigeration.

Two-way transport is available in UK campuses only. BSO may offer transport service from a company to all BSO campuses in world on the request of the parents (transport fee will be separate from tuition fee)

Our school practices rolling enrolment because we understand that some relocation plans are unforeseen or last minute. As long as there are places available and that students meet all entrance requirements, we are able to admit students throughout the year.

At the moment BSO don’t have any recruitment agent but later possible. BSO appoints student recruitment agents to assist parents with their children’s applications to BSO.
